DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Transfer of jurisdiction agreement number 92-TJ-002 between the Iowa Department of Transportation, City of Janesville and Bremer County transferred Unsigned Iowa 969 to the City of Janesville and Bremer County on August 11, 1994.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that Unsigned Iowa 969 in Janesville and the rural section be deleted from the Primary Road System.

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Due to the relocation of US 218 in Bremer County in 1993, the old section of US 218 became Unsigned Iowa 969 and the official description should be changed to reflect this.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that Unsigned Iowa 969 in Bremer County, as described in the attachment, be added to the Primary Road System.

New Description - Iowa 969 and its extensions in Bremer County described as follows:

Janesville:

Beginning on 7th Street on the Bremer-Black Hawk County line; thence west and northwest on 7th Street to Maple Street; thence north on Maple Street to the north corporation line.

Beginning again at the north corporation line of Janesville connecting with Maple Street; thence in a northerly direction to the center of NW ¼ Section 35-T91N-R14W (north junction US 218).
